About Plymouth

This natural harbour is situated between the mouths of rivers Plym and Tamar in the south-west coast of England. It is a historical second home of the Royal Navy. The Mayflower Steps, from where the Pilgrim Fathers set sail for ‘New World’ in 1620 aboard the vessel Mayflower, takes the travellers clear into history.

The Crownhill Fort is ideal for family outings and walkers. Plymouth is the starting point for the British section of the European Coastal Path. The Plymouth City Museum & Art Centre offers an artful way to pass time. The Plymouth Theatre Royal is the largest provincial producing theatre in Britain. The National Marine Aquarium, near Barbican, is the deepest in Europe. The Royal Citadel, Devonport Royal Dockyard, Saltram House and Plymouth Hoe are some other tourist attractions in Plymouth.
