About Ramsgate

Ramsgate is located on the Southeastern tip of England. It was a fishing town till1850, when the Ramsgate Harbour came into being. Its prominence grew with the laying down of tramway tracks linking Margate and Broadstairs. A notable landscape feature about the Ramsgate seafront is the stately, red-brick Victorian and Georgian buildings looking over the harbour.

Ramsgate and its nearby areas offer many tourist attractions. Amongst the most popular ones are The Mary of Colchester, Hugin – Replica of a Viking ship, St. Augustine’s Cross and the Ramsgate Maritime Museum.
