Harwich has well-established ro-ro, passenger and freight ferry connections to Scandinavia and the Benelux countries. The port is highly efficient, multi-purpose and modern. Weekly ferry crossings from Harwich to Hook of Holland are operated by Stena Line and to Esbjerg are operated by DFDS Seaways.

	The port has excellent road links to the rest of the England and Midlands. A120 connects the town to London in the southwest via Colchester, after joining main A12. A120 and A12 link the town to Ipswich in the northwest as well.
	The local bus and coach services are provided by First Essex, Colchester Coaches and Hedingham Omnibuses.
	Harwich International Station has good connectivity to London. Train service is operated by One.
