Zeebrugge

Zeebrugge lies in the north-west region of Belgium and serves as an important international port. Also it has one of the largest fish market in Europe. It was here that the British Royal Navy, on 23rd April 1918, attacked the German naval bases and made them dysfunctional. This historic event was famously known as the Zeebrugge Raid.

Zeebrugge has a plenty of places to visit. Some of the more popular are:

  1. Groeninge Museum

  2. Basilica of the Holy Blood

  3. Onze-Lieve-Vrouwkerk

  4. Jerusalem church

  5. The Hospital of St. John
